Hi there!
We would love to have you stop by and visit us. The next meeting is on June 25 and I believe will be a fantasy based game, Savage Worlds possibly.
We run a lot of different systems so we encourage you to try them, even if you are a diehard DnD fan. We do have a few that run DnD games though so those are often available. Ryan may be running a game next meeting so you could get with him. Check out Tonanbora's posts in the forum below and his Kilander campaign.
We are not simply a gaming group but a club that includes many different people running different gaming systems and a variety of campaigns. Let me know if you need more info or directions. We meet twice a month on second and fourth Friday evenings from about 7 to whatever (usually before midnight).
Give us a try! You might like the place. _________________ "Fairy tales don't teach children that monsters exist. Children already know that monsters exist.

Thanks, Emily!
Sorry I missed you on Friday but I was not feeling well at all. I hope it went well.

well i will deffinately show up next meeting my knowledge of gaming is secluded to rifts and d&d and i do prefer d20 systems but i have played d10 and i am more than willing to try new things and break out of my point system mind set and get more into role playing since that has been seriously lacking in my current experiences i look forward to meeting you all and plan to join the guild if nothing seriously unfortunate happens _________________ dm: "you forgot to call nonlethal you cut off the zubat's wing it flutters across the floor howling in unspeakable pain"

So you have new dice to break in? The trick to getting them to perform at the required level of coolness is to get them acclimated to your vibe. The best way to do that is to put them in a bag with your favorite set of dice but, since that is not an option for you at the moment, try either of these two alternatives.
You need to have them on your person for about a full day. Put them in a small dice bag and keep the bag in your pocket and they will get use to your vibe. The bag should be fresh and new if possible but at least make sure that no other dice are in it. (Yes, I know that seems to run counter to the above statement but trust me, any other set of dice but the favorite will ruin this trick.)
Or you can fast-track things by rolling and shaking each die in your hand for about ten minutes per die. Don't roll them onto the table like you would in a game! Just give them this warm-up routine, one at a time, so they get synched up with your personal mojo. Then put the set of dice into a small dice bag as described above and put the bag in your pocket while you drive to the meeting.
Once you get to the game table, give each dice two test rolls on your character sheet for the evening. Do not show any emotion toward the results of those rolls! The dice can sense fear and disappointment as well as happiness and excitement and they are very vulnerable at this point. They need to grow attached to you naturally, not through any sort of spur-of-the-moment impulsive outburst.
After these test rolls, set them on the table to your right in descending size order on a north-south axis with the highest number showing. And make sure no one else touches them in any way!
Good luck ... and good gaming! See you Friday. _________________ "So understand / Don't waste your time always searching for those wasted years / Face up ... make your stand / And realize you're living in the golden years" -- from "Wasted Years" by Iron Maiden |

I engage in drunk dice rolling at least once every convention. And I often am victimized by my players doing it too! _________________ "So understand / Don't waste your time always searching for those wasted years / Face up ... make your stand / And realize you're living in the golden years" -- from "Wasted Years" by Iron Maiden |
