Greetings Guild Members and fellow gamers,

The LRPG will be hosting a game night on Friday July 23 from 7:00PM until 11:30PM. We will be gathering at the Unitarian Church on Troy Avenue in Lakeland.

The primary feature of the evening is the Guild's Novus Somnium mini-campaign "Nexus City." This is the third installment of the storyline and the characters are deeply involves in the setting and its background. The action will be turning frantic for this session and the finale in August.

Also on tap for the evening is a new installment of the Kilander campaign from Guildsman Ryan. This original Dungeons & Dragons v3.5 setting has been a big hit with the Guild's members and is highly recommended.

We have room for one more game table at the event. If you are a game master and have something you would like to present, post here and claim your space now!

We'll see you at the game tables!

Peace and respects,
Scott M. Presley
Guild Master

PS -- And don't forget about the upcoming Annual Meeting and Anniversary Party in September! More details are coming very soon!

I have run into a little problem. My little sisters have gotten them self's into trouble and can not go, and my dad is out of town. My mom is willing to drop me off but I will not be able to get home. So, if I am to run my game I will need one of you guys to take me home* looks at Todd and Ralph*. Please let me know who would be willing to take me home.

Man I'm going to miss the action, I want to know what happens to the our group. I won't make it as I mentioned before, I'll be helping host a birthday party. I hope you all enjoy the games though.

Oh no! Gina won't be at the game! That means the Speendrivel-Smythe Investigation Agency will be short-handed. I hope nothing horrible and dramatic happens during your absence!

And Ryan, you might want to make a direct communication or two just in case Ralph and Todd haven't seen the message boards. Hopefully something can be worked out because I know there are some players looking forward to your game.

It appears that the third table may be taken by Guildsman Tad. He will be running another introductory installment of his in-development modern surrealistic-horror-fantasy setting.

I am looking forward to a good turn out on Friday. I very much hope that we have a good turn out. I passed up a concert in order to run my table! The original lineup of Bad Company is playing the Lakeland Civic Center Arena on Friday and I'm not going! Yes, that's right ... a concert IN LAKELAND ... in the big room ... hasn't happened in YEARS. And I won't be there. I am passing up Bad Company to spend my evening in bad company with a bunch of gamers! Please join me!

Scott..He did. But we haven't heard back and I suspect Ralph is not planning to attend. The 'little trouble' was big trouble so bringing them is not an option. Sometimes mom has to put her foot down even if it hurts...sighs.

Anyway...

I understand that needs of parenthood sometimes will outweigh the needs of the game table. We'll see what happens and deal with whatever that might be.

And it appears that I jumbled dates. The Bad Company concert is tonight! I still won't be going most likely but I'm working on it. We'll see about that too.

Anyway, I will see at least some of you on Friday night!

Ok if anyone wants to play my character for this session feel free. Just remember that my character suffers from curiosity and I do play that to the fullest. Just make sure that if she dies it's at least for a good reason, or entertaining. Laughing

Well, we did have two game tables and we did have fun but things did not go exactly according to plan on Friday night.

Since there was a possibility that I might be the only game master for the night, I prepared for the announced plan as well as a backup that allowed for up to ten players. Guildsman Ryan was able to join us but I ended up running my backup game anyway as I left the Novus Somnium adventure notes on my desk at work!

Some of the players present for the Novus Somnium game also are regular players in the Kilander Campaign. I let Ryan take his standard table roster while I took the remaining five players through a truncated replay of a Star Wars adventure I wrote for a convention. Both tables had a great time, although Ryan's accomplished far more gaming than mine did.

I would like to thank Laura for making the trip and dropping off Ryan; I would like to thank Todd for making to bring Ryan home; as always, I'd like to thank Steve for the baked goodies; and I'd like to thank everyone who came out to game and have a good time.

Our next meeting is in three weeks and will feature the final (and very busy!) installment of Novus Somnium! And don't forget about our Annual Meeting & Anniversary Party on September 10!

Peace and respects,
Scott M. Presley
Guild Master
